My Background

My Background

I grew up with metaphysics as an almost daily topic in my home. I learned self-hypnosis and was put into trances at 9 years old and could heal illness in myself at that age. I learned meditation, aura reading and did yoga from early ages.

My first A.R.E. meeting was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when I was 11 years old. There, I gave commentaries on Edgar Cayce’s work. The adults were impressed and invited me again to give commentaries. At that point, I felt it was not my path to expound on the teachings of Cayce, mostly because what he said and did made sense to me and I didn’t want a following or dependence from others. I didn’t understand why this wasn’t just simple common sense to anyone that encountered his work. I set his work aside until 2001, mostly because I felt the need to develop my own identity and path.

I’ve been doing intuitve witness readings since 1987. They are very similar to Cayce’s work, except I’m in a conscious trance. My teacher, Wally Minto, taught me how to focus in order to do readings. Wally is no longer earthside, but he called his teachings Alpha Awareness Training. This training involved learning to focus, and at that time, terms like “medical intuitive” or “remote viewing” did not exist, but this is what the training involved. In an alpha state of awareness, we also traveled back and forward in time to view occurrences. We learned to trust the Voices and guidance we heard in this state. See my Readings link to read more about this type of work.

As a former Washington State Registered Counselor, I have given countless people direction on things they can do to improve their health and well-being and continue to do so during bodywork sessions or intuitive witness readings.

I have been a student of A Course in Miracles since 1986. I attended a 40 day retreat on the subject, and numerous other meditative retreats on the subject. The Course has been truly miraculous in my life. My teachers have been Tara Singh (more on this below), J. Krishnamurti (first encountered on public television when I was 11 years old), Buddha, Lao Tsu (Taoism), Ramana Maharshi, Mother Theresa, and numerous others, as I’ve devoted my life to studying philosophical and spiritual works.

When I was raised in a Christian church, I realized at a very young age that none of my Sunday school teachers knew who Jesus was. I was bored senseless in church and would make the excuse to use the restroom so that I could go outside and play in the fresh air until church service was over.

Tara Singh, through A Course in Miracles, introduced me to the Jesus that I believed was true but no minister or teacher had been able to convey. Taraji’s workshops and retreats permanently altered my life for the better. In fact, without Taraji’s widsom and insistence to apply the Course and come to the truth myself, I would have continued down a very destructive way of living. Taraji’s work paved the way for me to build the core of my bodywork service and strengthened the intuitive abilities that led me to attend his workshop in the first place. I was introduced to many of the religious and philosophical thinkers of the world through the eyes of Tara Singh. For all of this, I honor with reverence.

I do not belong to any church but have a strong spiritual practice of prayer and meditation. It’s my personal belief that if God (or whatever you wish to call an infinite, creative energy) exists in all things and all people, this force cannot be contained in any one belief system or building. I honor all major religions and respect the beliefs of others.

Meditation is a daily part of my life. Not only do I meditate to clear my mind, but when I do bodywork, I enter a meditative and intuitive state.

Over the years, I’ve studied countless healing modalities and paths. I’ve studied holistic medicine since 1982, apprenticed as a midwife, led and taught in a breastfeeding organization for 10 years, became a registered counselor (temporarily) and obtained my massage license. I’ve also been quite involved with the mundane – high tech and running a small business.

After a lot of hard work on myself, I have become fully independent and self employed. I’ve become 100% debt free in 2007 and watched my life take huge leaps forward in consciousness after that fact. It gave, “Make straight the way of the Lord,” true meaning for me. I continue to strive to live simply, consume less, and value what I have.

NCBTMB Member from 2005-2021

My training in massage therapy began in 1995 at the Oregon School of Massage, which I consider one of the very best and finest in the country. After a move to Washington, I completed my massage training and graduated with honors from Renton Technical College’s 1092 hour massage program in September 2005 and received my National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and Washington State Massage Practitioner License in November 2005. National Certification represents the highest professional status in the field. I was a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association from 2005-2008, Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals 2008-2009.

From November 2005 until December 2008, I practiced massage therapy and lived in the Seattle area. Western Washington always felt like home to me, and I lived there for 10 years. In December 2008, I was married to my long time partner in Europe. Since then, I have lived and worked in Austria, Canada and Germany. Long distance readings are always welcome, and I receive calls from across the globe.

Though I may occasionally have a bodywork session, for the most part, I have retired from bodywork sessions.
